Magnetic Separators – DWS
DWS wet drum magnetic separator series are broadly used in the mining and mineral industries for heavy media recovery and Iron Ore concentration. DWS wet drum magnet separator consists of 120 degree magnetic arc inside of machine which is covered by the wear resistant stainless steel shell and has been inhabited by aluminium alloy caps. The drum shell and caps are able to rotate with specific rates around the fixed magnetic arc. The slurry feed is charged to the separator through a feeding box, which distributes the feed uniformly across the drum width. The slurry flows under the magnetic drum and the fine magnetic particles are attracted by the rotating drum surface and being carried out to the final discharge point.
DWS wet drum magnets can be assembled by Ceramic Magnet (LIMS) or Neodymium Magnet (MIMS), which definitely create variant magnetic forces accompanied by different intensities and gradients. Wet drum magnetic separator basically consists magnetic drum, tank, feeding chutes and discharging chutes, drive and supporting frame. In order for erection and maintenance purpose, the housing is easily dismantled.
Significant factors on separation efficiency are drum speed, tank configuration, magnet elements types and pole arrangements.
MAG Group wet drum separators have been designed in different tank configurations Con-Current, Counter-Current and Counter-Rotation and wide drum size range, in diameter from 300 to 1500mm with 300 to 4000mm length.
