Magnetic Separators – DDS
DDS dry drum magnet separator series are used for continuous separation of the fine Ferrite particles among feeding materials. Drum Magnet separators consist of 210 degree magnetic arc that has assembled inside a wear resistant stainless steel cylindrical shell and capsulated by aluminium alloy end-caps. The Drum shell and end-caps are able to rotate with specific rate around the fixed magnetic arc.
DDS dry drum magnets can be assembled by Ceramic Magnet (LIMS) or Neodymium Magnet (MIMS), which definitely creates a variant magnetic force accompanied by different intensities and gradients. DDS drum magnets have two types of magnetic configuration such as axial and radial types. The assembled magnetic drum contains a dust-proof housing and includes discharge openings for magnetic and non-magnetic products, which these products are separated by an adjustable splitter that placed under the drum and inside the housing. Moreover, housing is equipped with the chute and manually adjustable feed gate to properly control the feeding volume. The whole unit can be dust-vented by connecting to the plant exhaust system or to the outlet provided on the housing. Parts of the housing, that is mostly exposed to wear are normally protected by replaceable wear resistance sheets. In order for erection and maintenance purpose, the housing is easily dismantled. The drum shell is accompanied with a replaceable thin wear resistant and non-magnetic stainless steel cover.

The main application of Drum Magnet is purification of raw materials in glass, tile, ceramic, food, recycling, casting and steel foundry industries. Besides that, it could be widely used for Iron Ore concentration or Ferro alloy treatment.
